One launcher that switches from anti-armor to anti-structure to anti-personnel rounds in the same fight is what the Carl-Gustaf M4 gives a squad: an 84mm recoilless system under 7 kg that a single soldier can carry and fire, not a crew-served burden. Paired with the FCD 558 fire control device, it delivers programmable, first-round accuracy against everything from armored vehicles and fortified structures to troops in the open, with illumination and smoke rounds available when the mission calls for support fires instead of a direct hit.

    Anti-Armour

    Saab describes the system as able to neutralise armoured tanks and vehicles with anti-armour and anti-tank ammunition. The HEAT 758 round is designed to defeat explosive reactive armour and penetrate up to 700 mm of armour.

    Urban Combat

    The weapon is designed for engaging enemies in buildings and clearing obstacles, using anti-structure munitions against structures and fortifications.

    Anti-Personnel

    Anti-personnel rounds neutralise infantry in the open, and the system can engage enemy troops in defilade.
